Patient Account Specialist - Outpatient Business Office

Overview

Conifer Park is seeking a Patient Accounts Specialist to join our Outpatient Business Office in Glenville, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for collection of accounts receivable for AR of both Arms Acres Inc. and Conifer Park Inc. Daily operations include but are not limited to claim submissions, payment follow up, denial management, batch adjustments and collaboration with multiple departments to ensure accurate reimbursement for billed services.

• Manage accounts receivable for Arms Acres Inc. and Conifer Park Inc.
• Submit claims and perform payment follow up to maximize reimbursement.
• Handle denial management and perform batch adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure accurate reimbursement for billed services.
• Analyze discharged accounts and prepare required documentation for Bad Debt recommendations; validate refund requests.
• Field phone calls from outpatient practice locations, patients, coworkers, and insurance companies as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

• High school or GED with a minimum of 2 years A/R or billing experience, or an Associate's Degree in a related field with 1 year related experience (preferred).
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to perform arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in all units of numbers and decimals.
• Background checks, pre-employment and drug screenings required.
