Basic PurposeThe Clinical Therapist plays a major role in providing and coordinating mental health services for school‑based behavioral health and MAT programs. Duties include administering and developing programs, assessment and evaluation, counseling and referral for patients, and facilitating self‑help and personal growth programs. Provision of individual, family, and group therapy for youth and adults primarily in a behavioral health environment.
The MHHS Clinical Therapist maintains an ongoing awareness of organizational development and recommends changes to insure professional services and organizational goals.

- Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting are necessary body movements utilized in performing duties.
- Must be able to read and write legibly in English.

- Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Hearing within normal range is required.

- Must have the ability to make sound, independent judgments based on scientific principles, and also be able to collaborate with other multidisciplinary team members in an appropriate fashion.

- Must have the ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks.

- Exposure to high stress and frequent work interruptions.

- Demonstrates capabilities of use of computers and EMR, as needed, for documenting required data.
- Documents assessment, plan, interactions, and interventions according to departmental and health system guideline.
- Provides psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify emotional, social and community strengths and issues related to their diagnosis, illness, treatment, and/or life situation.
- Formulates, develops, and implements comprehensive psychosocial treatment plans utilizing appropriate and evidence‑based psychotherapy treatments and interventions including crisis, play, art, brief and long‑term individual, marital, family and/or group therapies as well as grief and bereavement work.
