What to Expect as a Radiology Tech with Ortho Arizona

This role does not require you to perform fluoroscopy or be involved in surgery.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, no weekends, no major holidays, no on-call

Location: Glendale, AZ

$1,000 Sign On Bonus! $500 after 45 days, the other $500 after 90 days!

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures.
  • Explain all procedures to patients, ensuring all their questions are answered.
  • Protect patients from unnecessary radiation exposure by utilizing shielding equipment.
  • Take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
  • Document patient care services in chart.
  • Import outside imaging to office PACS.
  • Scan documents into EMR.
  • Maintain accurate QC logs and service records, maintain and monitor dosimetry badges, etc. as required by state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure equipment is in working order, maintain radiology supplies and report any malfunctions.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years Radiology, preferably in a busy orthopedic practice or hospital.
  • Completion of approved American College of Radiology Technologist Program.
  • Certificate of Medical Imaging Modality by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Arizona State license:
    Medical Radiologic Technologist Board of Examiners (MRTBE).
  • Maintain CPR certification.
