Part Time

Boone Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our outpatient clinical team at the Danville Clinic. In this role, you will support daily clinic operations and assist medical providers in the examination and treatment of patients, including medical emergencies. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and administrative skills to ensure efficient patient care in compliance with hospital standards and government regulations.

• Assist providers, staff, and patients in a professional manner.
• Register patients and manage patient records.
• Take vital signs and prepare patients for exams and procedures.
• Assist providers with examinations and treatments.
• Collect and process lab specimens, including blood collection procedures.
• Administer medications, including injections and vaccinations, as directed.
• Perform EKGs and waived laboratory tests.
• Assist with minor office procedures and first aid.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies.

• Complete insurance forms and update patient charts.
• Schedule patient procedures and follow up on visits.
• Order and manage medical supplies and inventory.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• High school diploma.
• Certificate from a credentialed Medical Assistant program.

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
