Join Our TeamBoone Memorial Health is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team. In this role, you will play an important part in delivering quality patient care by collecting and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while providing exceptional service to patients of all ages.

What You'll Do- Collect blood specimens through venipuncture and capillary puncture for routine, timed, and STAT testing.
- Accurately identify patients and label specimens according to established policies and procedures.
- Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care to patients ranging from neonates to geriatric adults.
- Prepare and transport specimens to the laboratory while following infection prevention and safety guidelines.
- Collect chain-of-custody specimens when required.
- Assist with laboratory support functions, including answering phones and responding to requests from patients and clinical staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support quality patient care through attention to detail and compliance with laboratory standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and provide compassionate care.
- Basic computer skills.
Preferred
- Certification from an accredited Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant program.
- Previous phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent use of hands for specimen collection and laboratory tasks.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
