Emergency Department Nurse

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Emergency Department Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients of all ages.

Position Details:

• Number of Beds: 10 ED beds
• Typical 24-hour Patient Census: 8-15 patients (
  
  Note:
  
  Anything more than 12-15 patients/day would be considered "busy")
• Patient Population:
  All ages

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Physician Assistants (PAs) to provide comprehensive care.
• Think on your feet and prioritize quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Continually restructure tasks as needed, sometimes by the minute.
• Obtain comprehensive health histories and perform accurate physical assessments.
• Develop and execute treatment plans.
• Utilize critical thinking and sharp decision-making skills.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Handle unplanned situations and manage patient and family emotions, including anger and combative behaviors.
• Exhibit attributes such as compassion, humor, excellent organizational skills, and teamwork.

Benefits and Requirements:

• Requested Time Off (RTO):
  Must be noted and verified  requests after upload will not be approved. No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted (less is better).
• Holiday Work:
  Travelers must be willing to work Thanksgiving (including Friday and the weekend after) and Christmas-New Year Day Block if needed/scheduled. RTO during these holidays will not be approved.
• Orientation: 8 hours of non-billable orientation.
• Call: 4/hour (if applicable).
• Call-Back, Holiday, and OT Multipliers: 1.25%.
