Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Beckley, WV. The successful candidate will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, handle specimen collection for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc., and ensure accurate data entry, billing, and specimen preparation. This role requires strong customer service, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and the flexibility to work overtime or travel to additional sites.
Job Responsibilities- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
- Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- At least 21 years old
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Proven track record in exceptional customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency (in lieu of work experience)
- Ability to adapt to a Float schedule and travel to multiple locations as required
Float Incentive: Additional $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement.

Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, as well as cas‑ual, intern, and temporary employees, are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan.
Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible for all benefits except PTO or FTO.
