Job Summary
Responsible for providing clinical support for the nursing unit, the Unit Clerk will assist the staff with the day-to-day unit work by performing administrative duties for the unit.
Responsibilities
- Organization
Able to accurately file all necessary medical documentation in a timely manner. - Chart Maintenance
Maintains physical charts and records including building and tearing down charts for admission and discharge of patients. - Acts as Receptionist
Manages telephone calls courteously and efficiently. - Supports Department
Assists unit leadership in maintaining environmental standards as set forth by the organization. - Data Collection
Assists in data collection for unit audits
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Light Work:
Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. with a maximum lifting of 25 lbs.
Familiarity with medical terminology preferred. Experience with acute care settings and workflows a plus.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
