Boone Memorial Health is looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Patient Service Specialist (PSS) to join our Comfort Clinic. As the first person our patients see and speak with, you'll play an important role in creating a positive patient experience while keeping our front office running smoothly.

Welcome patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner

Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information

Schedule appointments, referrals, and follow-up visits

Collect co-pays and process payments

Answer and direct incoming telephone calls

Maintain accurate patient information within the electronic health record (EHR)

Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow

Perform general clerical duties, including scanning, faxing, filing, and document management

Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality

High school diploma or equivalent

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask

Basic computer proficiency

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Previous medical office experience

Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems

Knowledge of medical scheduling and insurance verification
