Position OverviewAs a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling, ideal for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and eager to help others live more independently.

Typical schedules range from 10–25 hours per week, depending on client needs and your availability.
What You’ll Do- Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes and in the community.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, light household tasks, and basic academic or skill-building support.
- Encourage social engagement and community integration by supporting clients in activities such as shopping, going to the park, attending events, or participating in hobbies.
- Follow and implement individualized support plans and goals tailored to each person’s needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, progress notes, and any incidents, including seizures or other health-related events.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.
- Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and community activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to diverse needs and preferences.
- Willingness to assist with personal care and follow detailed support plans.
Preferred (not required – we provide training):
- Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Additional education or training in human services or a related field.
