The Advanced Practice Professional (APP) provides high-quality,patient-centered care as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses,and other healthcare professionals, the APP assesses, diagnoses,treats, and manages patients within their scope of practice andarea of specialty. The APP is responsible for delivering evidence-based care, promoting positive patient outcomes,maintaining professional and regulatory standards, and supporting the clinical, educational, and operational goals of the department and organization.

WVUHS and the Department of Emergency Medicine seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to practice at Potomac Valley Hospital.
This position is full-time.

DutiesThe successful candidate will practice in the areasof Emergency Medicine. In addition to providing comprehensive outpatient clinical care to patients in an emergency medicine capacity and establish preventive health practices for patients.
QualificationsCandidate must have a PA or NP degree and be eligible for state medical license. All qualifications must be metby the time of appointment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR NURSE PRACTITIONER EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE- Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’sDegree in Nursing.
- National Certification by one of the recognized APRNCertification Centers.
- Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional
Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. - CNOR Certification required.
- BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
- Emergency medicine/ Urgent care experience preferred.
- Eligible new graduates will be considered.
- Bachelor’s Degree as Physician Assistant, or Master’s Degree as Physician Assistant required.
- Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant (PA) training program required.
- Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants required.
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the PA Board of Medicine.
- BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
- Emergency Medicine/ Urgent care experience preferred.
- Eligible new graduates will be considered.
