Are you a food service professional who enjoys leading a team and making a difference in the lives of others?
Fairmont Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is looking for a dedicated and dependable Dietary Manager to join our team!
In this role, you’ll oversee the daily operations of our dietary department while helping ensure our residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals and an enjoyable dining experience.
What You’ll Do- Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department
- Lead, train, and support dietary staff
- Create and manage staff schedules
- Ensure meals are prepared and served according to menus and resident dietary needs
- Work closely with nursing and clinical staff regarding resident diets, preferences, and nutritional needs
- Monitor food quality, presentation, portion sizes, and meal service
- Manage food ordering, inventory, and proper food storage
- Maintain high standards for sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and applicable regulations
- Address resident concerns and help create a positive dining experience
- Assist with staff education and ongoing department development
- Previous dietary or food service experience
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
- Long-term care or healthcare experience is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented
