As a Care Aide, you will play an important role in supporting the daily needs and overall well‑being of residents at The Pepper berry Suites. Under the direction of the Care Supervisor and nursing leadership, you’ll provide personal care, promote independence, monitor resident needs, and help create a safe, respectful, and engaging living environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide compassionate, person-centered assistance with activities of daily living
    , including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and restorative care.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene and comfort needs while promoting dignity, privacy, and independence.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and other assigned resident observations.
  • Conduct routine safety rounds throughout resident rooms and common areas.
  • Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, behavioral, or mental condition and promptly report concerns to the Care Supervisor or appropriate nursing staff.
  • Provide restorative care and support according to individual resident needs, physician orders, and established care plans.
  • Assist residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and the safe use of adaptive equipment.
  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks, supplemental foods, and substitute meal items according to resident preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care, services provided, and changes in condition.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Care Supervisor regarding resident needs and concerns.
  • Participate in resident care meetings, utilization reviews, quality improvement activities, and other required meetings.
  • Protect resident rights, privacy, confidentiality, dignity, and independence.
  • Immediately report concerns involving abuse, neglect, exploitation, accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions according to facility policy.
  • Participate in required training, in-services, meetings, and continuing education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support quality resident care and services.
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience working with older adults, assisted living residents, or individuals requiring personal care assistance preferred.
  • Experience caring for residents with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other specialized needs preferred.
  • Completion of required state‑mandated training and facility in‑services.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred or obtained within the required timeframe.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, respectful, and dependable approach to resident care.
  • Ability to recognize and appropriately respond to resident needs and changes in condition.
  • Ability to interpret verbal and non‑verbal communication, including body language and facial expressions.
  • Ability to follow individualized care plans and written or verbal instructions.
