The Greenbrier Hotel Group dba The Greenbrier Hotel located in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia seeks Twenty-Five (25) full-time Temporary Room Attendants who will be responsible for:
Responsibilities- Primary Responsibilities
- Perform Daily Maid Service at the standard detailed in the Standard Operating Procedures including the functions of:
- Change all linen daily
- Clean bathroom
- Dust all wooden surfaces
- Clean and/or vacuum all floors
- Replenish amenities
- Return guest room amenities, furniture & furnishings to designated locations
- Tidy the guests’ personal belongings (i.e. clothing, shoes, toiletries, etc.)
- Secondary Responsibilities
- Respond to varying special requests, including emergency clean up
- Provide additional requested amenities or furnishings
- Communicate with guests regarding directions, descriptions of hotel amenities and facilities
- Must be available Sunday – Saturday & all holidays
- 8:00am – 4:30pm or 2:00pm-10:00pm (AM and PM) or as scheduled
- Will report directly to Director of Housekeeping
- Three (3) months of experience at a hotel, resort, restaurant, or private club
- One worksite located at 101 Main Street West, White Sulphur Springs, WV; no other worksites
- On-the-job training is provided
- Wage: $16.02 per hour (greater than prevailing wage of $12.87). Overtime is available and guaranteed at no less than $24.03 per hour. Wages paid bi-weekly.
- Schedule:
35 hours per week minimum. Shifts may vary and include evenings and weekends. Work may be performed any day Monday through Sunday. - A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Wages are paid bi-weekly.
- All deductions will be made in accord with the law to ensure wages do not fall below the prevailing wage.
- If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the work site. Upon completion or dismissal, employer will cover reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the original departure place, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer.
- Employer will reimburse inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workweek and outbound costs during the last workweek; amounts mirror the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence is provided at $16.28 per day during travel (maximum $68.00 per day with receipts).
- Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment.
- Employer will provide all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no charge.
- H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa-related fees (excluding passport fees).
