What you will have an opportunity to do:
Perform all duties in a professional manner and in accordance with resort policies, procedures, and safety standards. Maintain flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business demands. Follow and enforce all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for guests and staff. Provide daily supervision, leadership, and direction to Conference Services Attendants and Conference Aides.
Work side by side with staff daily on the setup, execution, and breakdown of all meeting rooms and function areas. Supervise and assist with room setups to ensure all spaces are set on time, in proper order, and according to event specifications, resort standards, and Benchmark Minimum Standards. Perform all duties of Conference Services staff as operational needs require. Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests in conference and function areas and communicate needs to the appropriate department.
Maintain the highest level of guest and employee relations at all times. Keep the Assistant Director of Conference Services informed of all guest concerns, employee issues, and operational challenges. Delegate daily tasks and assignments to Conference Services staff and provide ongoing coaching and support. Complete employee communications and disciplinary documentation in accordance with resort policy. Maintain positive and professional working relationships with all resort departments to support seamless event execution.
Ensure conference rooms are guest-ready prior to event start times, including proper setup, cleanliness, icing, watering, and vacuuming as required. Inspect conference equipment daily for cleanliness, defects, and maintenance needs; perform minor repairs using hand and cordless tools as appropriate. Oversee routine equipment maintenance including spot cleaning banquet chairs, repairing table chips, and checking fittings on chairs and tables. Ensure all conference equipment and supplies are properly stored, organized, and returned to designated storage areas at the end of each shift.
