Executive Meeting Manager – Overview
The Executive Meeting Manager (EMM) is responsible for generating group, conference and catering business while serving as the primary point of contact from the initial sales inquiry through successful event execution and post‑event follow‑up. This position develops new business, maintains existing accounts, plans meetings and events, maximizes revenue, and partners with resort departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Generate guest room, meeting and food & beverage revenue.
- Prospect new business while growing existing accounts.
- Achieve revenue goals established by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Respond promptly to leads and prepare proposals and negotiate contracts.
- Conduct site inspections and client presentations.
- Serve as the primary contact from contract through departure.
- Plan meeting space, banquet functions, guestrooms and special requests.
- Coordinate with all resort departments for successful event execution.
- Prepare event orders and communicate changes promptly.
- Conduct pre‑convention and post‑convention meetings.
- Monitor events and resolve guest concerns immediately.
- Maintain accurate client files in Delphi.
- Review guest satisfaction results and identify service improvements.
- Attend department meetings, networking events and trade shows.
- Promote all Pyramid properties and referral opportunities.
- Complete reports, forecasts and special projects assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all safety standards.
- Rotate shift as the Manager on Duty (MOD) when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Two years of college; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum two years of hotel/resort sales, catering, conference services or hospitality management experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and customer service skills.
- Experience with Delphi preferred;
Microsoft Office proficiency required. - Strong organizational, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
- Strong sales and relationship‑building abilities.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Creative problem solver with a guest‑first mindset.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and travel as business requires.
- Positive attitude, professional appearance, team player, accountable, guest‑focused, excellent communicator.
Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
