Location: Baker Heights
HR Advisor (12-month FTC Maternity Cover)
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Advisor to join our team here at Yorkshire Baker, on a 12-month FTC (maternity cover). The main purpose of this role is to provide efficient assistance to the Senior HR Advisor, as directed, in order to deliver a fully operational and effective HR service for our site.
Main duties include (but not limited to):- Actively manage HR Investigations as part of the disciplinary process
- Manage the weekly payroll, including ensuring that all adjustments, new starters, leavers, transferees are captured
- Proactively manage absence on site, liaising with managers and Occupational Health in order to reduce absenteeism. (absence line, RTW, trending, absence reviews)
- Deal with any HR queries on a day-to-day basis in an effective, professional and timely manner
- Provide generalist HR Support and advise managers on matters such as grievance, discipline, absence management, maternity, paternity, flexible working, payroll etc
- Be involved in the Works Council and site engagement activities as support to the Senior HR Advisor
- Liaise with our shop floor agency to ensure new starters and leavers are processed accurately
- Prepare and assist during internal and external Audits
- Assist with the administration of offer letters, terms and conditions of employment and new starter packs for new recruits into the business. To ensure legal compliance is met and best practice followed, including all Referencing, Pension and Right to Work checks
- Ensure the HR systems are up to date (Timeware, Genetec, PeopleXD)
- Ensure the administration of Be More Awards and Hapi app is done in a timely manner
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor, ideally within FMCG
- CIPD Level 3 or above
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment is essential
- People focused with a confidential, calming approach
- Payroll experience is essential
