Senior Computer Systems Engineer; TSSA

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect with advanced expertise in BMC True Sight Server Automation (TSSA) to lead technical design, optimization, and integration of enterprise automation solutions for a mission‑critical U.S. Coast Guard program. This position will be located in Kearneysville, WV and will be a hybrid position.

• Drive the design and implementation of advanced BMC TSSA architectures to support enterprise mixt‑automation initiatives
• Lead complex platform upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization efforts across multi‑platform environments
• Provide expert‑level troubleshooting and resolution for critical technical issues impacting availability and compliance
• Develop sophisticated automation frameworks using NSH, Power Shell, Python, and Bash to enhance operational efficiency
• Oversee enterprise patch management strategies for Windows and Linux systems, ensuring alignment with DoD and USCG security standards

Integrate TSSA automation into Dev Ops pipelines and CI/CD workflows to accelerate modernisation and deployment cycles

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align automation solutions with organisational objectives and security mandates
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture, operational procedures, and automation standards
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field with 8 years (or equivalent expertise).

Required Skills and Experience

  Active Secret clearance
• Certifications:
  
  DoD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., Security CE, CySA )
• BMC TSSA Expertise: 5 years of hands‑on experience with BMC True Sight Server Automation, including implementation, upgrade, and administration.
• Scripting:
  Proficiency in NSH (Network Shell), python, bash, java, and Power Shell scripting for automation and customization.
• Patch Management:
  Extensive experience  server patch management for both Windows and Unix/Linux environments using TSSA.
• Operating Systems:
  Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.
• Troubleshooting:
  Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical issues.
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Experience supporting DoD or U.S. Coastprüfung Guard environments
• Database Knowledge:
  Familiarity with Oracle or SQL Server databases.

  Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Dev Ops and CI/CD:
  Understanding of Dev Ops principles and experience with CI/CD tools
