Work Location: Central London, Hybrid 3 days in the office
Application Support Analyst with a strong grasp of incident support and cloud platforms is required for a leading London Market insurer based in the City of London. This will be 2nd to 3rd line application support.
The company is a highly prestigious specialty insurer with a collaborative culture and modern technical landscape. They are looking for an Application Support Analyst to join this team.
You will be working on an insurance-specific application support team, supporting bespoke applications written in modern technology such as C#.Net on Azure, including some legacy applications in You will also have experience writing SQL and working with data in SQL Server as well as DB2. You will be experienced in MS SQL SSRS & SSIS and ITSM tools; they use Service Now.
You will have excellent communication and people skills to work closely with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors. No prior knowledge in the insurance sector is required; however you should have experience working within financial services or another regulated industry with a customer-centric approach.
Responsibilities- Experience in 2nd and 3rd line support with strong customer-centric incident management
- Experience working in a Windows environment, C#.Net and some legacy applications in
- Knowledgeable in SQL, PL/SQL and relational databases, SQL Server or DB2
- Some support within a cloud environment;
Azure is used, but other cloud environments would be acceptable - Experience working with 3rd party suppliers and vendors
- Strong interpersonal skills
- 2nd & 3rd line support experience with a customer-centric approach
- Proficiency in Windows, C#.Net, and legacy
- SQL knowledge including SQL Server or DB2
- Experience with cloud environments (Azure preferred)
- Experience with ITSM tools (Service Now) and interfacing with third-party vendors
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Working in an industry undergoing a major technical transformation
- Hybrid working (2–3 days in the office per week) with a City of London office and views
