Team lead for Analytics and Information management team – Driving the Green Energy Transition

Do you want to help shape the future of Europe’s energy system and contribute to a fully carbon‑neutral, sustainable power grid? Are you an Analytics and Information Management professional with a passion for data, collaboration, and people development? Do you enjoy working in an explorative, supportive environment alongside data scientists, data engineers, power engineers, IT experts, and developers?

We’re looking for a Team Lead for the Analytics & Information Management team at Nordic RCC. If you’re excited about leading analytics and reporting processes in a dynamic, mission‑driven organization, we encourage you to apply — even if you don’t meet every requirement.

About Nordic RCC

Nordic RCC is a fast-growing company supporting the national Transmission System Operators (TSOs) of Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. We provide regional power system planning data and security analysis to ensure efficient operation of the Nordic power grid and a high level of security of supply—every hour of every day.

The Role

The Analytics & Information Management team plays a central role in enabling data‑driven decision‑making across Nordic RCC. The team develops and maintains analytical products, data pipelines, and information services that support operational, strategic, and regulatory needs.

As Team Lead, you will guide a multidisciplinary group of eight employees and consultants — including data scientists, analytics developers, and data engineers — ensuring high‑quality deliveries and a collaborative, inclusive team culture.

The Team Lead role is pivotal in ensuring that departmental objectives are met while maintaining a high level of engagement and well‑being. You will foster a culture of trust, learning, and continuous improvement, supporting both strategic goals and day‑to‑day operations. You will also contribute to a positive team culture aligned with Nordic RCC values.

You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders — including peer Team Leads, the Leadership Team, Legal, Finance, and HR — as well as external partners such as TSO experts and managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, and coordinate cross-disciplinary analytics work and oversee the end-to-end delivery of analytics products, reporting solutions and data services
  • Anchoring analytics and reporting processes in the Nordic RCC organization, and driving adoption of reporting and analytics products both in the NRCC and in the Nordic stakeholder landscape
  • Manage analytics data infrastructure, pipelines and reporting processes – supervising the design, maintenance and optimization of data pipelines and data platforms to ensure reliable, high-quality data availability
  • Assess, manage, and develop competences within a multidisciplinary analytics team
  • Prioritize and delegate work effectively, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities
  • Perform HR‑related activities in line with Nordic RCC policies
  • Engage and motivate employees through feedback, coaching, and recognition
  • Manage consultants and ensure proper onboarding and procurement processes
  • Participate in budget planning and cost control for analytics tools, platforms, and services
  • High-quality analytics and reporting processes and deliverables that are adopted across the Nordic RCC (and TSOs, where relevant)
  • A well-functioning, curious and creative team enabled to deliver both in cross-functional and individual processes
  • Competence development and professional growth of team members
  • Effective management and prioritization of analytics, reporting and data engineering tasks
  • Clear and relevant reporting on activities, progress, and risks

Qualifications

We expect you to bring a strong combination of leadership capability and hands‑on analytics experience. The ideal candidate has previously led teams of data scientists, analytics developers, or data engineers and is comfortable engaging in technical discussions when needed.

You should demonstrate:

  • Strong leadership and people‑centered management skills, with the ability to make thoughtful decisions and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience leading…
