Senior Data Governance Analyst

Location: City of London, London Salary:£85000.00 - £95000.00 per annum Type:Permanent

Our client is a leading specialist insurance organisation with a growing focus on data-led transformation & stronger enterprise data management.

The organisation has a growing Data Governance framework but is looking for an experienced Senior Data Governance Analyst to help mature & embed it across the business. This is a hands-on role combining Data Governance, Data Quality, Reference Data Management & stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate will have delivered similar Data Governance roles within the insurance or specialist insurance market & will be comfortable working with Data Owners, Data Stewards, SMEs & senior stakeholders to improve governance, accountability & adoption across the business.

• Mature & embed the existing Data Governance framework, including ownership, stewardship, standards & governance processes.
• Take hands-on ownership of Reference Data Management, including data requests, mappings, hierarchies, classifications & data issue resolution.
• Lead & improve the Data Council forums, increasing engagement, participation & awareness of Data Governance across the business.
• Work with Data Owners, Stewards, Product Owners & SMEs to improve accountability & embed governance practices into BAU.

Produce governance documentation, training materials & communications to support the Data Strategy & wider adoption of governance practices.

• Proven Data Governance experience within insurance or specialist insurance, ideally having delivered similar governance & data maturity initiatives.
• Strong hands-on experience across Data Governance, Data Quality &/or Reference Data Management.
• Experience maturing governance frameworks & improving data ownership, stewardship & accountability across a business.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage Data Owners, Stewards, SMEs & senior stakeholders & improve adoption.
• Strong analytical & process improvement skills, with experience investigating data issues & driving resolution.
• Experience with data management platforms such as Ataccama, or similar tools, would be advantageous.
