We're seeking an experienced Dev Ops & Platform Automation professional to play a key role in shaping the future of engineering delivery within a rapidly evolving technology function.

Working closely with the Dev Ops & Automation leadership team, you'll help accelerate a strategic transformation focused on intelligent automation, cloud-native engineering, self-service platforms &ephemeral environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on innovation, enjoys solving complex challenges at scale, & wants to influence how modern software delivery is implemented across an enterprise organisation.

You'll be instrumental in advancing capabilities across platform engineering, deployment automation, observability, AI-driven operations & Infrastructure as Code, helping move the organisation toward highly automated, resilient & scalable technology services.

• Partner with delivery teams, product stakeholders & engineering leads to understand upcoming initiatives & ensure platform & Dev Ops capabilities align with business priorities.
• Work collaboratively to assess, plan & execute technical work streams that support application delivery & operational excellence.
• Provide transparent communication around progress, risks & delivery milestones within Agile environments.
• Produce & maintain high-quality technical documentation, operational runbooks & deployment standards.
• Enhance software delivery pipelines through increased automation, testing, security integration & deployment consistency.
• Develop & optimise release processes using modern Dev Ops tooling & cloud-native practices.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code & automated provisioning to support rapid creation & management of on-demand environments.
• Contribute to the evolution of fleeting infrastructure & environment lifecycle management strategies.

• Embed security best practices throughout the development & deployment lifecycle.
• Support the implementation of automated compliance controls, vulnerability management & policy enforcement.
• Ensure all automation, infrastructure changes & deployment activities are fully auditable & aligned with governance requirements.

• Proven experience working within Dev Ops, Platform Engineering, SRE or Automation-focused environments.
• Must have a background/knowledge in Software Development - application engineering predominantly with C# & Java.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
• Hands-on experience designing & managing CI/CD pipelines within Azure & Git-based environments.
• Knowledge of containerisation & orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of modern monitoring & observability principles.
• Experience building or operating fleeting environments & platform engineering solutions.
• Experience with Dev Sec Ops  practices & security automation.
• Familiarity with tools such as Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub, Octopus Deploy, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus & Open Telemetry.
• Experience working in complex enterprise or regulated environments.
