Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under general supervision, assists with security event monitoring, correlation, and daily event reporting within a tiered Security Operations Center.
- Experience with CND analyst toolsets to detect and respond to IT security incidents.
- Employ effective web, email, and telephonic communications to clearly manage security incident response procedures.
- Experience required in security or network technology (Unix/Windows OS, Cisco/Juniper Routing/Switching) within a hands-on Administration role.
- Demonstrates knowledge of TCP-IP protocol implementations for all common network services in addition to demonstrated capability to perform network packet analysis and anomaly detection.
- Professionally certified, within a CND discipline, as Technical Level I as defined by DODI 8570 is a requirement.
- Perform Watch Officer
- Jrdutiesfor the DIA CIO Infrastructure Services program in accordance with approved technical, security, quality, configuration, and change-control processes. - Coordinate assigned activities with Government representatives, program leadership, engineering, operations, cybersecurity, service owners, and other mission partners.
- Maintain accurate technical, operational, and status documentation; identify risks, issues, dependencies, and corrective actions affecting assigned work.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance are required. A polygraph will be required for the position, and the employee must obtain and maintain all customer-mandated system and facility access.
- Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification minimum; transition to the Government-designated DoD 8140 work-role qualification is required.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an area applicable to the position plus at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- OR qualifying education and experience combinations: HS/GED plus 6 years; associate plus 4 years; bachelor plus 2 years; master plus 0 years.
- Demonstrated junior-level proficiency performing Watch Officer
- Jr responsibilities in classified or mission-critical information technology environments. - Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories.
- Works under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of an integrated technical team.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- One or more of the following are desired:
Security+, Splunk Core Certified Power User, ITIL 4 Foundation. - A certification satisfying the next higher applicable DoD 8570 category or the corresponding DoD 8140 proficiency level is preferred.
- Current training and hands-on experience with the tools, platforms, and mission processes used by the assigned service lane are preferred.
