• Job Title: Educational Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)

• Location: Logan, WV

• Setting: School

• Pay Rate: Up to $35.00 / hour

• Schedule: Full-Time (35 hours/week)

• Contract Length:  School Year

• Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly

• Preferred: Prior educational interpreting experience preferred.

• Requirements: Valid West Virginia educational interpreting registration/credential and qualified EIPA score (or RID/NIC certification) required.

• Provide high-quality American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for deaf or hard-of-hearing students in general education, special education, and extracurricular school settings.

• Facilitate clear communication between students, peers, teachers, and school staff.

• Adapt to varying communication modes (e.g., ASL, Pidgin Signed English, or total communication) based on student IEP specifications.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers, DHH specialists, and educational teams to ensure accessible learning environments.

• Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical standards for educational interpreters.
