Thispositionsupportsthe University'sdailyoperationsbyperformingroutinecleaning,sanitation,andgeneralcustodialservicesinacademicbuildings,administrative offices,common areas,restrooms,andotherassignedcampusspaces.

The Custodianplaysanimportantroleinmaintainingtheoverallappearanceandfunctionalityofcampusfacilitieswhilecontributingtoapositiveexperienceforstudents,faculty,staff,and visitors.

Thispositionrequiresattentiontodetail,reliability,theabilitytoworkindependently,andacommitmenttomaintaining

Universitystandardsforcleanliness,safety,andfacilitycare.

• Performdailycleaningandcustodialservicesinassignedcampusbuildingsandfacilities.
• Sweep,mop,vacuum,scrub,andmaintainfloors,hallways,stairways,andotherdesignatedareas.
• Cleanandsanitizeclassrooms,administrative offices,conference rooms,lounges,andcommonareas.
• Cleananddisinfecthigh-touch surfaces,includingdoorhandles,railings,desks,tables,andotherfrequentlyusedareas.
• Emptytrashandrecyclingcontainersandtransportwastetodesignateddisposallocations.
• Dustandcleanfurniture,fixtures,windowsills,andotheraccessiblesurfaces.
• Cleaninteriorglass,doors,mirrors,andothersurfacesasassigned.
• Maintaintheappearanceandcleanlinessofentrances,lobbies,andpublicareas.
• Followestablishedcleaningschedulesandcompleteassignedtasksinatimelymanner.

• Clean,disinfect,andmaintainrestroomsthroughoutassignedcampusfacilities.
• Sanitize toilets,sinks,countertops,partitions,fixtures,andotherrestroomsurfaces.
• Replenishrestroomsupplies,including soap,paper towels,toilet paper,andothernecessarymaterials.
• Monitorrestroomconditionsandrespondtocleaningorsupplyneeds.
• Reportplumbingconcerns,damaged fixtures,leaks,andothermaintenanceissues.
• Followestablishedsanitationandinfection-prevention practices.

• Maintainfloorsthroughsweeping,mopping,vacuuming,andotherappropriatecleaningmethods.
• Assistwithperiodicfloorcare,including stripping,waxing,buffing,andcarpetcleaningwhentrainedandassigned.
• Identifyandreportflooringdamage,spills,andpotentialsliportriphazards.
• Maintainassignedareasinaclean,organized,andprofessionalcondition.
• Supportseasonalorperiodicdeep-cleaning projects.

• Assistwithcleaningandpreparationofcampusfacilitiesbeforeandafter University events.
• Supportsetupandbreakdownoftables,chairs,andotherequipmentformeetings,ceremonies,athletic events,andspecialactivitiesasassigned.
• Performadditionalcleaningassociatedwithhigh-trafficeventsorincreasedcampusactivity.
• Assistwithclassroom,office,andfacilitytransitionswhenneeded.
• Supportspecialcleaningprojectsduringacademicbreaks,summer periods,andotherscheduledmaintenancewindows.

• Properly use,maintain,andstorecustodialtools,cleaning supplies,and equipment.
• Monitorcleaningsupplylevelsandcommunicatereplenishmentneedstotheappropriatesupervisor.
• Followmanufacturerinstructionsand Universityprocedureswhenusingcleaningchemicalsandequipment.
• Properly label,handle,andstorecleaningproductsinaccordancewithapplicablesafetyrequirements.
• Reportdamagedormalfunctioningcustodialequipment.
• Maintaincustodialclosetsandstorageareasinaclean,organized,andsafecondition.
• Followestablishedproceduresfortheuseofpersonalprotectiveequipment.
