Salary:£31,500 to £34,500 (dependent on experience)
Contract:Fixed term – 2 years (extension subject to funding)

About STAND TOSTAND TO is a specialist veterans’ support service within DAAS (Derbyshire Addictions Advice Service). Originally established to provide dedicated alcohol support for veterans, it has grown into a holistic wellbeing service offering recovery programmes, mental health support, community activities, and a thriving Veteran Community Hub.
With further expansion planned (subject to funding) to support the wider Armed Forces community—including serving personnel and families—this is an exciting time to join the team.
The RoleWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of STAND TO. The role combines:
- Project oversight and data reporting
- Partnership building with military, statutory, and community organisations
- Oversight of the Veteran Community Hub
- A small clinical caseload supporting veterans with mental health and/or addiction needs
You will ensure the service operates safely, professionally, and in line with DAAS governance, contributing to strategic development, service quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and monitor project delivery, ensuring accurate data capture and production of funder reports
- Oversee safeguarding, risk management, and clinical governance
- Maintain strong relationships with military, NHS, local authority, and voluntary sector partners
- Supervise staff and volunteers, providing line management, training oversight, and on‑call support
- Promote the STAND TO service at events, meetings and through digital channels
- Contribute to service development, funding opportunities, and stakeholder engagement
You will bring:
- Military experience or close family connection to the Armed Forces, with leadership experience
- Experience managing staff or volunteers li>Experience in support, welfare, community, or mental health settings
- Strong communication, organisational and IT skills
- Ability to manage risk, safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Commitment to supporting veterans and their families
- Experience in veteran‑specific services
- Experience supervising clinical caseload staff
- Knowledge of Armed Forces Covenant, ERS, and veteran‑related policy
