Railserve is hiring an experienced and safety-focused Site Leader in New Martinsville, WV to oversee daily rail switching and industrial operations at our Blue Racer site. This is a full-time leadership role responsible for maintaining safe operations, developing employees, managing customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence across all site activities.

As a Site Leader, you'll oversee and support a variety of in-plant operations, including railcar switching, track maintenance, transloading activities, equipment management, and workforce development. This role is ideal for someone looking to leverage existing leadership experience while expanding their operational expertise and building strong customer partnerships.

Learn more at  Description The Site Leader is responsible for the overall management and performance of a Railserve operation. This role provides leadership for employees engaged in rail switching, track maintenance, transloading, equipment operation, and related industrial services while ensuring operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer expectations.

This position serves as the primary point of contact for both employees and customers and plays a key role in workforce planning, safety compliance, operational execution, cost management, and employee development. The Site Leader works closely with regional leadership to maintain service quality, improve operational performance, and develop future leaders within the organization.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and operational leader who enjoys developing employees, solving problems, and building long-term customer relationships in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Schedule Must be available to support all shifts as operational needs require

Nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call responsibilities may be required

Compensation $75,000 annually

Bonus eligible position

Duties

Maintain a safe work environment through employee training and operational oversight

Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and regulatory requirements

Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the operation

Lead, coach, and develop employees across all operational functions

Identify high-potential employees and support succession planning efforts

Develop work schedules and staffing plans to maintain operational effectiveness

Ensure operations meet customer expectations and contractual obligations

Manage payroll, fuel, equipment, and operational costs

Oversee purchase order processes and site expenditures

Coordinate preventive maintenance programs with mechanical teams

Monitor operational performance and identify improvement opportunities

Build and maintain strong customer relationships

Serve as the primary customer contact for operational issues and service needs

Manage timekeeping, performance evaluations, reporting, and operational documentation

Support hiring, onboarding, employee development, and performance management activities

Perform additional operational and leadership duties as assigned
