The Orchards is seeking an experienced and compassionate Administrator to lead the daily operations of our skilled nursing and assisted living community.

The Administrator is responsible for providing effective leadership across the campus while ensuring high standards of resident care, safety, regulatory compliance, quality, financial performance, and overall operations.

This is a leadership opportunity for someone who is passionate about senior care, develops strong teams, and understands the importance of creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents, families, and employees.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for skilled nursing and assisted living operations.
  • Lead and support department directors, supervisors, and staff across the campus.
  • Promote The Orchards' core values and maintain a culture of respect, accountability, teamwork, and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and accreditation requirements.
  • Oversee departments that contribute to the continuous care and services provided to residents.
  • Develop, administer, and monitor operating budgets and financial controls.
  • Coordinate preparation for regulatory surveys and work with facility leadership to implement plans of correction.
  • Maintain required licenses, approvals, and certifications for facility operations.
  • Coordinate and support the Continuous Quality Improvement program, Quality Measures, and Case Mix Management.
  • Promote effective communication with residents, families, resident council, committees, and employees.
  • Support initiatives designed to enhance services, accommodations, and the overall resident experience.
  • Ensure the recruitment and employment of qualified and competent staff and supervisory employees.
  • Review contracts and relationships with professional service providers, consultants, business associates, and other vendors.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships within the community and serve as a liaison with external stakeholders.
  • Interview, hire, train, coach, evaluate, and develop employees in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work while addressing employee concerns and resolving operational issues.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and other members of facility leadership to promote quality resident care.
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence and foster cooperation throughout the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and as necessary to support the organization's goals.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Background in healthcare, health administration, business, public policy, or a related field preferred.
  • Current West Virginia Nursing Home Administrator License in good standing
    .
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance, and nursing facility operations.
  • Experience leading and developing teams.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem- solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, employees, healthcare professionals, regulatory agencies, and community partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify problems, establish facts, and make sound operational decisions.
  • Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, word processing, and other standard office technology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically when addressing sensitive resident, family, and employee concerns.
  • Commitment to maintaining required continuing education and state-mandated training.
