Plant Operator I​/II​/III

Plant Operator Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe operating environment; follows all EQT policies and procedures.
• Optimize processing throughout the facility and maintain proper product specifications.
• Responds to alarms and problems within the plant and makes appropriate corrections.
• Spill Prevention Countermeasures and Control (SPCC) reporting and monitoring environmental compliance.
• Perform general maintenance including changing filters for air, oil etc.
• Perform Lock out/tag out procedures.
• Assist with housekeeping and cleanup routines throughout the plant.
• Safely maintains equipment and supports pipeline operations, including reading/interpreting drawings, supervising equipment, and maintaining operations/technical standards.
• Understand and comply with environmental regulations and ability to document and report readings as dictated by permit.
• Knowledge of PFD'S, P&'S and plot plan.
• Participate in the Plant PSM program. Understand and follow all 14 elements of PSM.
• Successfully completes assignments as directed and within established time frames. Accurately documents information as defined and utilizes a computerized database for work orders, field data collection, and compliance reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.

• At least 1 year of related work experience in the natural gas industry.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Products.
• Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and research skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to identify work priorities and function with very little supervision at times.
• Must be a team player, self‑motivated with high level of energy and initiative.
• Degree needed (High school diploma).
• Willing to work rotating shifts (12 hours) and overtime.

• At least 1‑3 years of related work experience in the natural gas industry.
• Knowledge of all facets of natural gas processing and pipeline operations and maintenance.

This position requires sitting, lifting and filing throughout most of the day. There will also be outside office assignments that can involve walking around the plant facility. Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often exposed to outside weather conditions, which could range from extreme cold to hot, humid conditions. Walking on uneven terrain is often required during normal work duties. May require climbing of ladders. High noise areas may be encountered. At all times proper PPE must be used in work areas.

This role is covered under PHMSA / FMCSA regulations.

Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
