Plant Manager (Open)
Location:
Shinnston, WV - Filling industrial
- Day‑to‑day oversight of plant operations for producing and repackaging compressed and liquid gases into cylinders.
- Lead associate activities safely, collaboratively, and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Operate and maintain plant equipment for pumping or repackaging gases, ensuring federal, state, local, and company compliance.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly plant appearance.
- Analyse production schedules and determine associate‑hour requirements.
- Establish and adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Review production and operating reports, resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to prevent delays.
- Implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Modify working conditions and equipment usage to optimise workflow and support associate well‑being.
- Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance.
- Ensure safety rules are consistently championed; schedule, conduct, and document safety training.
- Interpret company policies to workers and foster alignment with safety regulations.
- Investigate and report all injuries and accidents within 24 hours.
- Analyse, resolve, and assist associates in work‑related issues or roadblocks.
- Partner with HRBP on associate actions, including promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
- Ensure associate issues and grievances are handled to optimise engagement.
- Lead subordinate supervisors to provide support, coaching, and corrective action.
- Train new associates and provide cross‑training during capacity variations.
- Maintain time and production records and approve essential overtime while managing it appropriately.
- Accurately complete and submit paperwork such as shippers, cylinder audits, and month‑end reports.
- Utilise plant dashboards and financial reports to drive operational efficiencies and cost improvement.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three to five years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least five years of supervisory experience.
- Valid employment authorization in the U.S. and no visa sponsorship requirement.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to become forklift certified.
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets and all other written communications.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexible and open to new ideas.
- Good people skills.
- Prior forklift experience.
- Prior SAP experience.
