- Operate and safely maintain the plant for pumping or repackaging of gases into cylinders while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local, and company policies, procedures, regulations and laws.
- Safely lead, operate and maintain the plant for pumping or repackaging of gases into cylinders while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local, and company policies, procedures, regulations and laws. Maintain a neat, clean and orderly plant appearance.
- Analyze production schedules and determine associate‑hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Establish and/or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure sustainable resource management and prevent operational delays.
- Implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality. Modify working conditions and use of equipment to optimize the workflow and support associate well‑being.
- Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
- Ensure all safety rules are consistently championed and safety training is regularly scheduled, conducted and documented. Interpret company policies to workers and foster alignment with safety regulations.
- Ensure all injuries and accidents are properly investigated and reported within 24 hours.
- Analyze, resolve, and assist associates in solving work‑related issues or roadblocks.
- Partner with HRBP to collaborate on associate actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures. Ensure associate issues, grievances, etc. are effectively handled to optimize associate engagement.
- Lead subordinate supervisors to provide support and development to ensure all associates are achieving established goals. Provide coaching and corrective action promptly, to ensure that opportunities for growth are identified and supported, documented, and corrective measures are put in place.
- Train new associates and provide cross training to continue production during times of team‑capacity variations.
- Maintain time and production records and approve overtime when essential, while ensuring overtime is managed appropriately.
- Accurately complete and submit paperwork (e.g., shippers, cylinder audits, month‑end reports, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Utilize plant dashboards and financial reports to drive improvements in operational efficiencies and costs.
- Additional duties and projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent and three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience is required.
- Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non‑immigrant visa sponsorship.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- Ability to become forklift certified is required.
- Good computer skills are required.
- Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets and all other written communications is required.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexible and open to new ideas.
- Good people skills.
- Prior forklift experience.
- Prior SAP experience.
