We are looking for a Plant Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations at our Shinnston facility. The role focuses on production leadership, safety compliance, equipment maintenance, and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities- Operate and safely maintain the plant for the pumping or repackaging of gases into cylinders, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local, and company policies.
- Analyze production schedules and determine associate‑hour requirements to fulfill job assignments.
- Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to prevent delays.
- Implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Inspect machines and equipment to guarantee optimal utilization and performance.
- Champion safety rules and conduct regular safety training, including investigation and reporting of injuries and accidents within 24 hours.
- Analyze, resolve, and assist associates in solving work‑related issues or roadblocks.
- Collaborate with the HR Business Partner on associate actions such as promotions, transfers, disciplinary measures, and grievance handling.
- Lead subordinate supervisors, providing coaching and corrective action to ensure associate performance goals are met.
- Train new associates and provide cross‑training to maintain production during capacity changes.
- Maintain time and production records, approving overtime when necessary.
- Accurately complete and submit paperwork such as shippers, cylinder audits, and month‑end reports.
- Utilize plant dashboards and financial reports to drive operational efficiencies and cost improvements.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three to five years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least five years of supervisory experience.
- Valid U.S. employment authorization; no visa sponsorship required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to become forklift certified.
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets and written communications.
- Strong communication skills.
- Flexible and open to new ideas.
- Good people skills.
- Prior forklift experience.
- Prior SAP experience.
