Position: Production Supervisor - 12hr days
Location: Glen Dale

The Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Plant Manager with the day‑to‑day operations of the assigned plant.

Key duties include organizing and scheduling daily workflow, ensuring all recommended safety guidelines are observed, identifying safety issues, and providing safety training to employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Plan, organize, and schedule daily activities of the assigned plant.
  • Possess mechanical/process aptitude to evaluate equipment/processes and engage maintenance for corrections, as necessary.
  • Experience with cost control for direct labor, raw materials, and finished goods.
  • Understand yield rates and methods for minimizing waste.
  • Use temporary labor to support short‑term increases in production volumes.
  • Understand written instructions and complete appropriate documentation as directed.
  • Use a logical approach to troubleshooting issues and prioritizing production needs.
  • Recognize problems when they occur and work toward solutions.
  • Pay attention to details and pursue quality in accomplishing work duties and tasks. Look for opportunities to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
  • Supervise team members to enable growth and success through feedback, training, and encouragement.
  • Use independent judgment to ensure team members follow company policy and maintain a safe work environment, encouraging safe practices and promptly resolving violations, including recommending rewards and discipline as needed.
  • Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times; support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager to discuss matters of importance.
  • Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.
  • Work additional hours and/or days as needed, particularly during high‑volume periods, to ensure that production objectives are accomplished.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Demonstrate computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Understand written instructions and complete appropriate documentation as directed.
  • Lead and inspire team members; relate to and build teamwork relationships.
  • Familiarity with warehouse work and safety procedures.
  • Organize and supervise projects with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment with an eye for detail.
  • Use a logical approach to troubleshooting issues and prioritizing production needs.
  • Recognize problems when they occur and work toward solutions.
  • Pay attention to details and pursue quality in accomplishing work duties and tasks. Look for opportunities to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
  • Handle challenges skillfully, thoroughly, and effectively.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with co‑workers, team members, management, and internal/external customers. Present information clearly and accurately.
  • Take initiative to improve or increase skills, abilities, and job knowledge.
  • Ensure work is delivered on time and of high quality.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a direct line supervisor in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with multiple production lines preferred.
  • Experience with liquid batching/blending and bottling preferred.
  • Spanish bilingualism a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • This is a desk‑based job requiring prolonged sitting and manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment such as computer, keyboard, mouse, calculator, phone, copier/scanner, and similar machines.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
  • Work in a warehouse environment that may expose employees to high, precarious places, outdoor weather conditions, dust, and extreme heat or cold.
