Role

Plan, coordinate, and control the production schedule to meet customer demand signals. Determine what, when, and how much to produce to satisfy demand and manage production capacity.

Lead the Demand & Order / Scheduling groups (7-10 people).

What the candidate will do:
  • Plan, coordinate, and control the production schedule against customer demand signals. Determine what, when, and how much to produce to satisfy demand and manage production capacity.
  • Monitor the execution of the production plan, identify opportunities, and manage necessary adjustments to meet objectives.
  • Coordinate S&OP sessions (Pre, Review, and Executive/Division).
  • Balance demand with capacity, considering optimal inventory levels, and foster teamwork for on-time deliveries.
  • Establish priorities, define alternate scenarios for potential demand changes, and facilitate communication with internal/external customers.
Degree requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in management, business, international relations, commerce, any engineering or similar field.
  • Conversational English:
    Advanced.
What skills the ideal candidate will have:

Planning:

  • Creates, establishes, manages, communicates, and reviews the production plans for the business unit.
  • Ensures the production plan is aligned with the business unit goals.
  • Attention to detail, proactively attends to process deviations, manages alternate scenarios when necessary to satisfy customer demand and business unit goals.
  • Manages and implements business unit changes and demand variations in a timely manner.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP systems for managing production schedules and inventory.

Standard Operating Procedures:

  • Develops, creates/adjusts, and documents S&OP standard procedures according to business unit goals.
  • Ensures the S&OP plan matches the forecasted demand by developing realistic production plans.
  • Knowledge in purchasing to align SOPs with procurement processes.

Effective Communications:

  • Supervises and reviews team information, providing feedback and coaching.
  • Demonstrates a high level of emotional intelligence and assertiveness to defend own point of view.
  • Effective communication (vocal/written) at all organizational levels.
  • High level of negotiation skills, selecting appropriate strategies of persuasion when an agreement needs to be reached.
  • Leadership skills to guide and motivate the team.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Ability to prepare and present executive summaries to senior leadership levels

Forecasting:

  • Follows up on the effectiveness of the S&OP forecast and adjusts accordingly.
  • Consolidates information from diverse sources to develop demand forecasts.
  • Helps team members understand the impact and use of historical data for forecasts.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data consolidation and analysis.

Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP):

  • Supervises the business unit production scheduling.
  • Evaluates sequencing work to meet delivery commitments.
  • Ensures all system parameters are updated in a timely manner.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SAP systems for managing MRP processes

Production Scheduling and Control:

  • Supervises and manages cycle times to ensure completion of schedules according to commitments.
  • Communicates with customers to review unscheduled orders, understand root causes, negotiate functional ship dates, and follow up on the established approval process before making adjustments to production plans.
  • Analyzes, identifies root causes, and proposes solutions for issues/problems.
  • Supervises production acceptance and performance measurement tools.
