CNC Machine Operator

Ideal candidates will demonstrate basic industrial math, ability to read and interpret blueprints, knowledge to effectively utilize precision measuring devices, ability to follow written instructions, effective verbal communication skills, basic computer knowledge. A team player, excellent interpersonal skills, and be motivated to work in a participative environment. Problem solving skills and a willingness to adapt to a changing environment are prerequisites of successful candidates.

Starting pay is $27.25/hr and requires completion of 9 month machining training program or equivalent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC lathes, mills, and other machining equipment.
• Set up machines according to work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
• Load raw materials and monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Perform routine machine adjustments and tool changes as needed.
• Identify and report quality issues, equipment malfunctions, and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Keep work areas clean and organized in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, quality personnel, and maintenance teams to meet production goals.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior CNC machining or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Basic understanding of machining processes, tooling, and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials and finished parts.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

Schedule:

Full-time position. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
