The Utility role provides flexible production support across manufacturing departments by assisting with equipment operation, material handling, housekeeping, and quality support to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations.

Essential Job Duties

• Leads as an example of CFP's values:

• Provide flexible production support across Green End, Drying, Composing, and BPO departments to maintain safe, efficient operations and meet production goals.
• Assist with material handling, processing, and quality-related tasks in accordance with standard work and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by removing debris, properly handling tools, and supporting housekeeping standards.
• Identify and report equipment, quality, and safety issues using the andon system.
• Support team effectiveness by assisting co-workers and providing relief or coverage as directed.
• Perform job duties in a manner consistent with safety policies and work standards.
• Proactive and effective communication with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and stressful situations.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout manufacturing areas.
• Frequently required to use hands and arms to handle, position or operate materials, tools, and equipment.
• May be required to manually handle materials up to 50 pounds and occasionally assist with heavier items using team lifts or mechanical aids, in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Requires the ability to observe equipment operation and product quality and maintain awareness of surroundings.

Qualification and Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Job training for this position is provided by department trainer.

Work Schedule / Availability

Reliable attendance and willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, nights, weekends and holidays.

PPE Requirements

Safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection, apron, etc.

Work Environment

Manufacturing:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Temperature varies.

Work is fast paced.
