General Production Worker- 1st Shift

Hiring a General Production Worker in Berkley Springs, WV

This role supports daily production operations in a steel fabrication environment by handling materials, operating manual equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized shop. You will work with stainless steel and rebar, assist with loading and unloading trucks, and ensure materials are prepared and staged for efficient production.

This is a long-term opportunity

Shift: 1st shift 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday

Pay Rate:
Starts at $19/hour, performance evaluations will be given for pay increases

Responsibilities

• Load and unload stainless steel material safely and efficiently.
• Operate manual machines to cut rebar according to specified measurements.
• Use an overhead crane to load and unload trucks in a safe and controlled manner.
• Handle materials throughout the production process, including prepping material for operators, loading for production, and unloading and staging after production.
• Clean and stack rebar to maintain an orderly work area.
• Perform general shop cleaning to support a safe and organized environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.

Essential Skills

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Proficiency in basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to apply math comprehension to production tasks, such as determining how many pieces of a specified length can be cut from a 60-foot bar.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berkeley Springs, WV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
