Northwest Hardwoods is the premier Hardwood Lumber producer in the industry serving furniture, cabinet, and molding and millwork segments worldwide.
We have an immediate opening seeking a full time Package Prep.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Pulling units from pile down carts with a forklift
- Staging the units in the banding area
- Placing dunnage in proper area for the banding station
- Banding units to NWH specifications
- Placing correct tag on the unit
- Stenciling unit with proper grade and species
- Move units to staging area for warehouse storage
- Keep banding and stencil area clean and organized to the NWH standards
Basic Qualifications:
- Work at a fast pace and be detail oriented team player
- Cross train in other production related jobs
- An all-around positive work attitude, at all times
Required Qualifications:
- Must be safety conscious, have a positive attitude and work well in a team environment.
- Must have and maintain excellent attendance record.
- Pre-employment physical and drug-screen required.
- Candidates must be able to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
- Always required to wear personal protective equipment.
Education:
- High school or GED equivalent or 18 years of age
