Material Handler - 3rd Shift

Overview

Service Wire Company, a premier supplier of industrial and utility wire and cable, is seeking a 3rd shift Material Handler/High Reach Operator in Culloden, WV.

Position Summary:

The Material Handler/High Reach Operator supports operations by receiving, transporting, and organizing materials, ensuring accurate inventory management, safe material handling, and timely preparation of orders for shipment. This role includes operating forklifts—including high reach trucks—and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company safety standards.

• Receive and unload materials
• Palletize and prepare orders for shipment as needed
• Maintain inventory stock and an organized warehouse
• Transport wire and materials throughout the facility using a forklift
• Maintain safety standards and an organized work environment

• Forklift operation proficiency; high reach experience preferred
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow general instructions
• Ability to stand and move about the facility for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds; assistance provided as needed
• High school diploma/GED or one year of related industrial experience or equivalent training

• Personal protective equipment is required
• Ongoing participation in company safety training
• Company forklift operation certification

• Work environment may reflect outdoor temperatures
• Regularly stands, bends, and reaches for extended periods
• Regularly moves about the facility
• Regularly lifts and moves materials up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally moving up to 100 pounds by pushing, pulling, or sliding material; assistance provided as needed
• Visual inspection of material quality required
• Must be able to work in hot and cold environments without climate control
• In-person attendance is an essential function of the job

• Must be available to work 10:30pm - 7am
