WV Coalfields Roadmap to Readiness VISTA Coordinator

Overview

Roadmap to Readiness VISTA Coordinator will strengthen current employment/job readiness initiatives as well as to develop new ones to build a sustainable economic base in the southern WV coalfields. In addition, VISTA will research new job readiness and training programs. This project will serve to assist those in poverty opportunities to gain employment with a livable wage.

VISTA member will work with Assistant Program Director (ADP) to strengthen WRAPS program, a limited time paid job training, through a partnership with Coalfield Development. In addition, member will strengthen RAIL's job readiness program and employment initiatives.

Training, Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend, Health Coverage*, Childcare assistance if eligible, Living Allowance, Relocation Allowance.

Permits working at another job during off hours, Car recommended, Permits attendance at school during off hours.
