The Monroe County Coalition for Children and Families works to facilitate and establish a system of prevention, education, and early intervention activities aimed at enabling families and children to reach their fullest potential through community based, planning activities for Monroe County and such other activities as described and established in accordance with 49-6C-2 of the West Virginia Code.
Member DutiesWork with families and community members to provide resource materials and referrals to local agencies for homelessness, substance abuse, food insecurity, domestic violence, utility assistance, and other services. Participate in food and clothing distribution to community members. They will recruit and coordinate volunteers and serve as support on all outreach events offered. Member will lead after school tutoring sessions forK-12 students once a week for 6 weeks.
