We are seeking Wound Care Nurse Practitioners to provide wound services to patients residing in long‑term care facilities.

• Provide wound care services for long‑term care patients residing in skilled nursing facilities.
• Prescribe appropriate medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with WV Law.
• Order, review, and follow up with treatments and diagnostic testing.
• Communicate with nursing home staff on a regular basis and as needed to discuss changes in condition and/or the care plan.
• Collaborate with the primary care physician.

• Current, unrestricted NP license in the state of West Virginia.
• Board Certification.
• DEA licensure (optional).
• Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties.
• Clinical background in wound care; including chronic, debilitating, stalled, or infected wounds.
• Comfortable diagnosing and treating diabetic, arterial, venous and mixed‑etiology wounds or Kennedy ulcers.
• Comfortable staging pressure injuries according to the NPIAP.
• Familiar with wound care best practices and advanced wound care products: collagen, alginate, foams, silver, etc.
• Experience with wound vacs and other DME such as pressure‑relieving/reducing devices.
• Strong preference for existing wound certification or openness to getting certified.
• Experience working in a long‑term care setting.
• Ability to work with an EMR.
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.
