The Nursing Director, Long‑Term Care, WAR Memorial Hospital (WAR) assists with the development of goals, standards of performance, and policies and procedures for the Long‑Term Care unit. The Nursing Director establishes objectives for the Long‑Term Care Unit, and the organizational structure for achieving these objectives.
Education- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Graduate of a school of nursing required.
- Five (5) or more years management experience required.
- Five (5) or more years nursing home/long‑term care setting required.
- Registered Nurse in the state of West Virginia required.
- Basic CPR‑certified and up‑to‑date annually required.
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) – American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) – AHA approved required. New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
Available on an on‑call basis.
