Location: Welch
Welch Community Hospital - McDowell County, WV
Registered Nurse (RN) – Mandatory overtime required. Provide high‑quality nursing care to patients and residents in psychiatric/behavioral health and long‑term care settings.
Responsibilities- Administer top‑quality nursing care to patients and residents, ensuring the highest standards of practice.
- Conduct intake assessments, administer first aid and medications, and perform health screenings.
- Assist in developing and evaluating individualized care plans tailored to each patient.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date health records, documenting changes in condition and treatments provided.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, supervisors, and other healthcare staff to coordinate and implement effective patient care.
- Provide guidance and direction to LPNs, CNAs, and other staff members; participate in orientation and training of new staff.
- Enter patient information into electronic systems, ensure adherence to healthcare policies and regulations, and communicate urgent medical needs to relevant personnel.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring clear communication of patient care plans.

Certifications:
Current West Virginia license or temporary permit to practice as a registered nurse. - Experience: None.
- Background Check: Applicant must successfully complete a criminal background check.
- Drug Screening: Chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening; subject to drug testing for probable cause per agency and bureau policies.
- Mandatory overtime is an essential function of the position.
