American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring 1 year of experience, NIHSS certification, and Meditech charting proficiency.

• 13-week contract assignment on a Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:00
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required in rotation with staff, in accordance with facility floating policies and Joint Commission standards
• Uses Meditech charting system

• Active RN license (WV or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications:
  Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• ACLS and CPI certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Meditech charting system experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry monitoring (on-unit and remote)
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
• Experience managing cardiac drips (no titration) and administering medications including Heparin
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and respiratory care (oxygen administration, nasal cannula, oxygen tanks)
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response/code team utilization
• Travelers are assigned to Team A or Team B with holiday coverage rotating between teams
• Expect to work some holidays as part of the team rotation
• No radius restriction in effect for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
• Facility-required medication and EKG exam must be completed within 72 hours with a passing score of 85%
• Non-AHA certifications accepted, including Instructor, Provider, and RQI designations
• Annual and orientation training modules required, varying by specialty
