The position requires a Registered Nurse for long-term care. This role involves alternating night shifts. Every other weekend coverage is required. Candidate must have minimum 2 years of nursing experience. Experience in a long-term care setting is essential. Knowledge of charting systems is required. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in patient care procedures. Key responsibilities include medication administration and patient assessments. Compliance with infection control protocols is mandatory.
Candidates should possess strong assessment skills. Experience in managing a patient load of 30 residents per hallway is ideal. All required certifications must be valid and up to date. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team is necessary. Candidates must show a commitment to high-quality patient care. Adherence to established protocols for emergency procedures is expected. Flexibility in scheduling and handling weekend shifts is essential.
Caring for geriatric patients is a key component of this role. The candidate must be prepared for a fast-paced environment. Maintaining accurate patient records is crucial. Strong communication skills with patients and families are required. Proficiency in managing various medical conditions is expected.
