Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

The Emergency Room RN is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a dynamic ER environment. This role involves managing a diverse patient population while ensuring safety, comfort, and effective treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care based on clinical protocols and patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately using the Pyxis system.
• Collaborate with providers, including NP/PA, to coordinate patient care and development of treatment plans.
• Monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and update documentation accordingly.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, procedures, and post-treatment care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and licensing regulations.

Qualifications:

• Valid and unexpired RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work every other weekend and holiday shifts as required.
• Must be able to handle a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 4, generally maintaining 1 to 2.
