Emergency Medicine APP- Rural

West Virginia University Health System (WVUHS) and the Department of Emergency Medicine seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to practice at Potomac Valley Hospital.

Duties:
The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Emergency Medicine. In addition to providing comprehensive outpatient clinical care to patients in an emergency medicine capacity and establish preventive health practices for patients.

Qualifications: Candidate must have a PA or NP degree and be eligible for state medical license. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR NURSE PRACTITIONER
:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.

2. National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.

3. Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.

4. CNOR Certification required.

5. BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.

EXPERIENCE:

1.Emergency medicine/ Urgent care experience preferred.

2. Eligible new graduates will be considered.
