How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:
The RN Velocity Care provides patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, collaborates with the healthcare team, and supports development of individualized care plans in an urgent care setting. Practice is open Sunday through Saturday 8 am to 8 pm. Successful candidate must be able to work any day of the week during practice hours of operation. All Velocity Care staff are required to float to other Velocity Care locations to assist with staffing.
The RN Velocity Care Delivers high-quality patient care and customer service while demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions. Assumes accountability for coordination and delivery of individualized patient care across all age groups. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes. Completes and documents age-specific assessments to support development of care plans. Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
Administers treatments and medications accurately and documents care in electronic medical records. Identifies and addresses patient and family education needs and incorporates them into care plans. Participates in performance improvement initiatives and quality outcomes. Advocates for patients and supports their rights and psychosocial needs.

- Serves as a role model and supports development of peers, students, and team members.

- Uses problem-solving skills to address patient care and operational challenges.
- Provides feedback to staff and contributes to a collaborative work environment.
- Participates in unit, hospital, and system initiatives to support shared decision-making.

- Education:
Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required. - Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required with demonstrated clinical and leadership expertise required. - Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:
Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. - For Behavioral Health roles, de-escalation training must be completed within the required timeframe.
- Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.

Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation. Ability to manage challenging patient situations as appropriate to role.
$30.47 - $45.71. Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
