Temporary Grounds Keeper

Responsibilities:

• Perform all landscaping and grounds maintenance at the highest level to meet or exceed the hotel’s expectation of being the #1 resort in the world.
• Understand instructions from Grounds Supervisors and complete the assigned work professionally and within budgeted goals.
• Mow grass, plant and care for flower beds, shrubs, trees, lawns and event spaces.
• Report directly to Grounds Manager.

Qualifications:

Three (3) months of experience performing grounds work which includes mowing grass, planting shrubs, flowers or bulbs, raking grass or leaves or other relevant landscape duties. Basic English required.

Location:

One work site located at 101 Main Street West, White Sulphur Springs, WV. On‑site training is provided.

Wage:
Employer will pay $14.41 per hour. Overtime available and guaranteed at no less than $21.62 per hour. All wages will be paid bi‑weekly.

Schedule:

Minimum 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and may include evening and weekend hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Work hours and shifts vary.

Deductions from paycheck will be made in accordance with and as required by law, including but not limited to proper deductions to ensure wages do not improperly fall below prevailing wage.

Transportation and Subsistence:
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contractor where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer.

The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first work week. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last work week. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.

The employer will guarantee work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12‑week period of the total employment period. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. H‑2B workers will be reimbursed in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees).
